1

GEORGETON CHARLES

President and Founder
Georgeton is a graduate of Wilmington University of Delaware with an MBA and a concentration in Organizational Leadership degree. KAREN CHUNG

First Vice President
A native New Yorker, I have always had a deep passion for charitable work. After leaving Wall St, I became a registered nurse. I was captivated by Haiti while on a medical mission during the 2010 earthquake and met Georgeton (President and Founder of Another Haiti/Yon Lòt Ayiti). Motivated by their resilience and strength in light of their limited resources, I became a supporter of their empowerment through social impact, entrepreneurial and educational projects. Inspired, I went back to school and got my Masters degree in Nursing and is now a nurse practitioner. I am committed to the success of Another Haiti and look forward to fostering more impactful opportunities in Haiti.

JOANE WONG

Second Vice President
Joane Wong has always been a believer in grassroots organizing as an effective tool to change the world to be a more just and equal society for all. She works as a labor lawyer in NYC enforcing the right of workers to better their working conditions. In that same desire, in 2013, she helped Another Haiti create the annual art contest to give children a voice. To date, through this program and the work of so many volunteers of Another Haiti, more than 60 children benefited from educational assistance to go to school. She looks forward to help grow Another Haiti and help children of Léogâne.

DENISE ARRIGO

Secretary
As a retired teacher, I like to stay involved with people and enjoy volunteering and teaching English as a Second Language. Haiti and its people have captured my heart and I am committed to the mission of the Yon Lòt Ayiti/Another Haiti team to promote education and to help as many children of Ville Léogâne attend school. When not volunteering, I enjoy learning new languages, traveling the world and meeting new friends.
Lisa

LISA (Elizabeth) CINCOTTA

Treasurer
Lisa joined our team the summer of 2017 in Haiti. Working with the children on a daily basis, she was excited to see their smiling faces and amazing personalities shine with each interaction. She left a part of her heart in Haiti. Lisa is happy to organize fundraisers and plan the best way to inject as much as we can into the community in order to help these children succeed! Lisa works with two additional community charities in New Jersey where she lives spending any free time on, in, or by the water.

LIZ RESCINTO

Advisory Board
I’m a Jersey girl, born and raised. As a single mother of 4 (grown children now), I had the opportunity to share my love of Haiti with one of my daughters in January 2018. My love for Haiti began on my first mission trip in 2014. I’ve always been taught to share your blessings no matter how big or small they might be as you never know whose life it might change. I consider Haiti my other home and family. I plan to spend more time in mission trips, now that my children are grown . It’s always time to give back.

JEAN FOURNES THAYLORD

With a background in engineering, he strongly believes in education as a being one of the most sustainable means of development and is fully committed to this particular cause via Another Haiti!

Our Work

Art Contest

Since 2012, we have held an art contest for children in the town of Léogâne, Haiti on the first Friday of August. This past August 2017, we awarded 20 winners a bookbag of school supplies as well as a scholarship for 1 year of school - $380. We challenge all our participants to draw and write about the change they want to see in their country and community. We let children's voices be heard.

Art Program

We also run a summer art program as a vehicle for creative expression not taught in schools. Each summer, over 60 children walk to this art program for fun, skills, and community.
